Healing Interpersonal and Racial Trauma Course
$399.99In Part 1 of this two-part workshop, participants will reflect on how their experiences, identities and expectations inform their professional roles while receiving an overview on identifying trauma and symptoms of traumatic stress. Part 1 also provides an overview of the impact of racial stress and trauma on mental, physical, and behavioral outcomes for Black clients.
Part 2 focuses on applied strategies and resources for utilizing racial socialization as a cognitive-behavioral intervention strategy in a culturally affirming and validating manner for Black youth, families, and adults who are healing from interpersonal and racial stress and trauma. Participants spend time learning about and engaging with strategies for Assessment, Psychoeducation and how to normalize and validate stressful and traumatic experiences, Relaxation including deep breathing and progressive muscle relaxation, Affect Identification and Emotion Regulation.
This course include interactive lessons that will allow you to practice the skills you are gaining from the course.
